It's painfully frustrating to have lost an opportunity like this, and who knows when the heck some kind of opportunity can rise again like this? It doesn't happen very often, and yet, there's no one but myself to blame for this failure. I'm talking about the JUMP+ contest....I was so excited for it, and yet I failed to meet the deadline. ((´д`)) At first, even knowing that time was not on my side, I thought, "Even if there is only 4 days left, I'll definitely make the deadline!" Perhaps it was my inability to accept the fact that I wouldn't be able to make it...And I did work hard, started to draw pages...raced against the clock. But yesterday, rather VERY early today, I just realized that sure, I could get 30 pages sketched, inked, scanned, and tone in time, BUT the quality would be another story...and I didn't want to just submit some crap that didn't show the full of my current abilities, even if they aren't that high... At the same time though, after I finally accepted that, it's like a huge stress has been taken off my mind!
That being said, there's no time for moping around! I'm still going to finish the one shot, but I'm going to take my time on it....and now, I'm going to try harder than ever to IMPROVE! Next time an opportunity like this comes around, I definitely won't lose! (*•̀ᴗ•́*)و ̑̑

update
Hey guys! Long time no see. xD
Actually, I wanted to say that I'm not gonna be as active here on DA (or the net in general) from now on.
I went to the eye doctor a couple days ago, and, apart from the obvious vision worsening (its what comes with wearing glasses and in general in the long run, unfortunately :/), I found out that I have a scratch on the cornea in my left eye, which is REAAAALLY bad if you know anything about eyes. So basically, I just need to take better care of my eyes, so I'm going to try to rest them from staring at a screen and things of that nature as much as possible.
But on the positive side, I dropped all other one
Happy New Year!
Best wishes to everyone on 2017! :)
2 Art Styles?
Just wanted to get some opinions on this....so my normal art style is more towards your typical shonen manga art style (less realistic, etc)...but I was also thinking of developing a 2nd art style that is more realistic-type...something like this:

Mostly used for occasional illustrations, and maybe a one shot manga eventually that's more of a realistic manga. :)
Art Trade anyone?
Just like what the title says. XD If you're interested can comment at this journal, or send me a note!
Feel free to ask me if you want your characters in a specific pose or scene, etc! Need to practice :)

Just now managed to read this!
That's quite unfortunate about the deadline... I know I personally suck with deadlines, so I like to give myself more than what I think I'll need to cushion myself if I'm struck with procrastination or if I'm just running real slow. Besides, the production process - quality drawing, inking, scanning, editing - takes a long time anyway, so its nice to have a large enough cushion to be able to work at a decent pace, especially if it's a 30-page one shot. I think this will be a new learning experience for you as I hope another opportunity like this does appear! I only wish for the best!
But that's really great that you're back on your feet with this and you're taking your time! If another opportunity rears its head for you, you'll definitely be ready to submit your work! Or better yet, you can do some extra work and search for more of these opportunities! That should be super exciting!
Good luck!
